Affiliated to the Governing Council of the
Cat Fancy
Established in
1985
Based in the U.K.

Welcome to the Maine Coon Cat Club’s
Site.
Thank you for visiting our site.
We hope that you will find it both enjoyable and useful.
Here you will be able to obtain
lots of information about the Maine Coon Cat and the Club.
A number of photos have been
included to let you see the wide variety of colours we have.
If you are considering a
purchasing a Maine Coon Kitten, then there is information on how to go about
this in our “Guide to buying a kitten” page. For a list of breeders in your
area, visit our “Kittens Currently Available Countrywide" and "Club
Maine Coon Breeders” page.
The club currently has about 500
members, both in Britain and abroad, including several Maine Coon breeders and
judges in America. Membership is open to anyone, you do not have to own a Maine
Coon to join. Many of our members do not breed or show, but just enjoy living
with a Maine Coon and the club caters for everyone.
The club holds several events
each year. We publish three newsletters, as well as holding the club show, a
seminar and annual photographic competition. The winning photo is used as the
front cover for the Maine Coon Calendar each year. Yes, the club even publishes
its own calendar, with photos of members’ cats on each page!
Please feel free to contact a
member of the committee if you need help or advice.

Imperial Grand Premier Dairymaine
Sarnia Cherie beat over 1000 cats in competition to become Best in Show at the
2008 Supreme Show on 22nd November 2008. |
|
A stunning tortie-tabby female
neuter takes the top honours.
|
|
Sarnia started the day by winning
the UK Grand Premier Certificate, then Best of Breed followed by Best of Variety
Semi-Longhair Neuter, beating lots of other cats along the way. She then
competed against the six other Best of Variety Neuter winners - Persian,
British, Foreign, Burmese, Oriental and Siamese and won the title of Supreme
Neuter. But the cherry (or should we say "Cherie") on the top was to beat the
Burmese Adult and Norwegian Forest Kitten to gain the most coveted GCCF title -
Supreme Exhibit 2008.

A fantastic day for Sarnia, Saffi,
Jane and the whole Maine Coon breed. |

Sarni was not the only cat to
enter the top stage, Grand Champion Coontastic Lammtarra, owned & bred by Rocco
& Angie Barletta, became Best of Variety Semi-Longhair Adult, so it was an
amazing day for them too.
